Drop us a line at sales@rebelpuzzles.com
  • Where can I find Rebel Puzzles?
Puzzles can be ordered from our website (rebelpuzzles.com), on Etsy for the time being, and you can probably find us at a Maker's Market around the Central Texas area. We love going to Maker Markets to meet other artists and get to know people who love puzzles, so check our schedule for locations where we'll be setting up shop.
  • Can I visit Rebel Puzzles?
We make our puzzles in Round Rock, Texas, just outside of the Texas State Capital of Austin. We're not a brick and mortar store, so we don't have regularly scheduled tours of our shop at his time. If you're interested in collaborating with us, just reach out to sales@rebelpuzzles.com
  • Do you make custom puzzles?
Yes, we can and have done custom images on puzzles with some guidelines. Individuals - Your Picture on a Puzzle If you've a special puzzle in mind for family, friends or special occasions, read on. We only do photos - typically families, couples, groups, pets You must own the rights to the photo If you didn't take the picture, we cannot (and will not) use it The photo must be a high resolution photo of good quality We don't practice Photoshop miracles We will only use a conventional puzzle cut We do not use our custom cuts nor do we design special cuts for individuals Artists - Collaboration We're happy to engage in discussions on collaborating, but realize that we also operate as a small retail business and would need a fairly significant order for wholesale to make economic sense (think hundreds of units). That said, we do live near Austin and like to work with Artist friends.
  • How quick will my puzzle ship?
Most often we keep a few of our different puzzles in stock and can ship them out by end of business the next day. Sometime due to demand we have to make one, which can take about 2 days to ensure quality. Regardless we work hard to make sure that you get your puzzle as quickly as possible.

  • I have a damaged puzzle piece, what should I do?
Puzzles are handled objects, and are subject to a natural bit of wear over time. The puzzles that we take to trade shows are handled hundreds of times a day. Depending on the situation, the best solution to a piece that needs a little bit of care is often a touch of glue. We mend puzzles all the time using PVA glue. In the US, Elmer's Glue All is a popular brand of PVA glue. For a broken piece, just a little dab of PVA glue will often be sufficient. Just be sure to match up the pieces as best as possible, square up the piece using a flat surface, and wipe away any excess. Often that's all that's needed to get a piece back into shape. With separated paper, it can be a little more challenging. Be sure to try not to get glue onto the image side of the puzzle piece. Using a piece of paper or cardstock, a tiny drop of glue can be placed on the paper, and then slid into the separated groove, being sure to wipe away any excess glue. Then gently press the image side of the piece onto a solid surface, again wiping away any excess that's left. This often will restore a piece to its former glory.
  • What kind of wood is used in your puzzles?
Our 1/4" puzzles use Columbia Forest Products, PureBond Maple Plywood. Our 1/8" puzzles use a birch plywood that's sourced from a couple of different distributors including Woodpeckers on occasion. Our puzzle thicknesses are 1/4" for our larger puzzles and 1/8" for some of our smaller puzzles. Given United States woodworking standards, these are nominal measurements but not actual thickness, rather 1/4" is really more like 7/32" (5.5mm) , and 1/8" is more like 7/64" (2.7mm).
